What is the Vakaros System?

In simple terms, Vakaros devices are advanced electronics with built-in GPS that can replace traditional compass/timer setups. They can provide detailed data, including:

San Diego, CA (January 2, 2025) – The Etchells West Coast Spring Series is back for the 2025 season, offering an exciting lineup of regattas that bring together top sailors to compete in world-class conditions. Hosted by the San Diego Yacht Club in collaboration with Etchells Fleet 13, this prestigious series will challenge sailors on the Coronado Roads and serve as a lead-up to the 2025 North American Championship and the 2026 Worlds.

The 2025 calendar is posted on our website here. We have also updated the skipper and crew registration forms. The Fleet 13 board voted for an increase of the skipper dues to $400 (including NA and International fees) and not requiring crew registration fees. Although crew registration is not required, please encourage your crew to register to be added to our email distribution list.
